Dublin, Ireland, 28 October 2011: Declan Rudden of IMRO spoke this week at the Cloud Arena about their solution built by Spanish Point Technologies Ltd, a business-critical application that is delivered through the cloud. The Irish Music Rights Organisation distributes royalties for copyrighted music in Ireland on behalf of their members and due to an increase in data they built an automated system to track the copyrighted works and royalty payments. This Online Member Services portal based on BizTalk and Windows Azure technologies allows members to interact with their data, register new works and identify performances. This solution for IMRO was recognised by Microsoft and in 2007 Spanish Point was awarded Partner of the Year for Information Works Solutions at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver, Colorado.
